Now back to the important stuff......

Sorry about all the personal stuff, back to what's more important! I'll be trying to predict some of the matches in the UEFA Champions League that'll be occuring on 10/19/2010. Looking into Group F, how about the contest between the two highest teams? That is, Chelsea v.s. Spartak Moskva at Spartak. True, Chelsea don't have fond memories at Spartak, however it's difficult to see Chelsea losing as their domestic and international performances aren't exactly too bad. Now how about the underperformers in Group F? This is reference to Marseille v.s. MŠK Žilina, who have only a goal between them and no wins. I would tip this match to Marseille simply for the fact that they will be playing at home, the difference between the two teams isn't quite so one-sided as it would seem. Moving on to the Group G games, I'll say that Ajax will defeat the French team Auxerre in their clash, home-field advantage should help. However, the game to watch I believe will be Real Madrid v.s. AC Milan, both teams will be on highs after taking top positions in their respective leagues and I'll grudgingly say that Real Madrid will win, not only because of the home-field advantage but their star names are still performing whereas AC Milan's aren't quite so fit. Cristiano Ronaldo's form, if it continues, should buoy Real. Now how about the Group H action between the underperformers Braga and Partizan? Both have no points and it seems like it could be a war of attrition. If it turns out not to be a draw I'll be pleasantly surprised however since Braga will be playing in Spain it's possible that they'll be given some kind of an edge. Either way, one of, or both of these teams will be getting some amount of points. But for the two better off teams in Group H, Arsenal v.s. Shakhtar Donetsk, it would seem like Arsenal should take the three points, especially being in the Emirates, however, what if they just have a loose cannon game? (pardon the pun)
  • Well, I gotta go to bed but I'll finish my shake-down of the 10/19/2010 games later today.
