More UEFA 2012 Qualifying results for October 12th

Switzerland 4-1 Wales. Switzerland opened and closed the scoring in this free-firing Group G game which essentially kicks-off the Swiss's qualifying campaign. Wales meanwhile has yet to win a game let alone manage a point in a thus far disappointing campaign.
Belgium 4-4 Austria The highest scoring Group A game actually had no winner as the two sides both recieved a point having each scored four in a game which allowed Austria to remain in second place above Turkey while Belgium sits in fourth, below Turkey.
Greece 2-1 Israel. Greece finally found victory over themselves in the sixty-third minute after granting Israel a way back with an own goal in the fifty-ninth minute. Despite all three goals coming from the Greeks, the game was quite entertaining and in fact allowed the Greeks to take top spot in Group F, just a point above Croatia. Israel meanwhile is tied with Latvia at almost the bottom of the table in a qualifying campaign with some positives and several negatives.
Italy - Serbia. This match was actually abandoned due to crowd issues with neither team finding a breakthrough.
France 2-0 Luxembourg. Benzema and Gourcuff kept the wind underneath the French wings as they sweeped aside the hapless team from Luxembourg. This result actually put France one point above Belarus, at the top of the Group D table. Luxembourg however are getting used to life at the bottom of the table behind Romania.
Scotland 2-3 Spain. The World Champions Spain were almost undone by an own-goal from Pique, however Llorente regained Spanish dominance in the seventy-ninth minute which solidified the perfect record of the Spanish conquistadors at the top of the Group I table. Scotland however are sitting at the middle of the table even with Lithuania.
England 0-0 Montenegro. Montenegro frustrated England with zeros all around at home to stay on top of the Group G table with ten points while England has to deal with second place with seven points.
Iceland 1-3 Portugal. Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring and Hélder Postiga closed it as the Portuguese ran over the team from Iceland. This result put Portugal in second place in Group H with seven points while Iceland remains in the doldroms with zero points from three games.
