Finishing the report on the Europa League matches 10/21/2010

Sporting's day finished gloriously as they scored a total of 5 goals against the struggling Gent's 1 goal. The atmosphere in Lisbon can be now be somewhat happy. Villareal was able to finish their game against PAOK with the 1-0 score line I previously reported. There were some chances, but the 3 points are theirs. Manchester City meanwhile added another goal to their account as they finished 3-1 over Lech. No breakthrough was forthcoming as Aris of Greece tied with Leverkusen of Germany 0-0. AZ of the Netherlands were in the same boat sort of as they couldn't score another goal in their 2-1 loss to Dynamo Kyiv. On a similar note, Dynamo Zagreb couldn't put a goal in against Club Brugge however, the latter side could do no better either, with a final score of 0-0. Juventus were similarly held, this time against Salzburg, to a 1-1 scoreline. On a totally different route, Atletico Madrid embarassed Rosenborg by tacking on another 2 goals in the late 2nd half to put the final score at 3-0 for the Spanish side. CSKA Moskva got the same result against a 10 man Palermo as they tagged on another goal in the late 2nd half to win 3-0. BATE finished Sheriff with the 1-0 scoreline that I reported earlier just as Lille beat Levski by the same score. Finally, probably my favorite comeback, Lausanne came back from a 3-1 deficit to draw level with Sparta Praha 3-3.
