Some big domestic league matches today.

First off, the joke of a game between FC St. Pauli and Kaiserslautern in Germany: St. Pauli won at home, which is respectable, but the margin was 1-0 and that only due to Christian Tiffert's 48th minute own goal! Kaiserslautern were just not able to perform, losing the form they had found against Schalke 04, very disappointing personally, St. Pauli just took advantage of this. In Italy today, Inter Milan lost once more, falling 3-1 to second place S.S. Lazio, a fourth loss for the defending Champions. Giuseppe Biava got things off well for Lazio, scoring in the 25th minute. Already 7 points behind their enemies AC Milan, Inter fell even further behind the leaders. Mauro Zárate put in a second not too long into the second half; but Goran Pandev brought the two sides closer in the 74th minute with his strike. But Hernanes put the game to bed in the 89th minute with a deflected free-kick. Inter now sit at sixth place, but they could drop further as other teams are playing on the weekend. Lazio and AC Milan are now tied at the top of the table. Meanwhile in the Iberian nation of Portugal, SL Benfica shrugged off their Champions League dismissal to draw within five points of leaders and rivals FC Porto as they defeated SC Olhanense 2-0 thanks to efforts from Oscar Cardozo in the 43rd minute and Javier Saviola's 81st minute strike. In Romania, Univ Craiova took a 66th minute lead through Dorel Stoica before falling to Lacina Traore's 69th minute strike and Dominique Kivuvu's converted shot in the 72nd which gave CFR Cluj a 2-1 victory today.
