Oh, and the domestic action happening today! 1/15/11

First off, in Scotland, Celtic were able to deal Hibernian a 3-0 defeat despite that it was an away game for the b'hoys. Gary Hooper opened the scoring a minute from the break before Anthony Stokes struck twice, once from the penalty spot in the 50th and another from open play five minutes past the hour. Rangers face Hamilton, Motherwell welcome Inverness, Kilmarnock will be expecting victory over St. Johnstone, while Aberdeen v.s. St. Mirren is the last of the matches since Dundee United v.s. Hearts was postponed. Moving South, England has a handful of games going on with Chelsea taking on Blackburn, Manchester City welcoming Wolves, Stoke sizing up against Bolton, West Brom v.s. Blackpool, West Ham fight Arsenal, while Wigan host Fulham. The German league is also busy today, with Bremen and Hoffenheim level 0-0 as I write this. Nurnberg are losing to Monchengladbach 1-0, St. Pauli lead Freibrug by the same scoreline, Stuttgart are tied with Mainz 0-0, and Wolfsburg are losing to Bayern 1-0. Schalke and Hamburg will also be playing today. Neither Barca nor Real play today in Spain, but there will still be action, as Athletic face Racing, Getafe play host to Real Sociedad, Sevilla play Espanyol, Sporting Gijon take on Hercules, while Villarreal will expect three points from Osasuna and Zaragoza will remain hopeful against Levante. Over the border in Portugal, Sporting will want the three from Pacos de Ferreira while Vitoria will expect the same from Olhanense. Finally, in Italy, Inter Milan will welcome Bologna to the San Siro with hopes of demolishing them as Napoli welcome Fiorentina to Naples hoping for a win as well.
