Another AFC Asian Cup update for 1/21/11. Once more, futsal will be highlighted later.

The Uzbeks have been stunning thus far in the Asian Cup and they have rightly progressed to the Semi-final following their 2-1 win over Jordan. Uzbekistan will face even fiercer competition in the next round as they will either face Australia or Iraq on the road to the Final. Jordan actually came out better than Uzbekistan did, but once the Uzbeks had gotten their footing, they weren't going to be beaten. Ulugbek Bakaev was Uzbekistan's star, and the bane of the Jordanians, as he slotted two goals in three minutes to create a 2-0 lead for his side. Jordan's keeper Amer Shafia couldn't do much about either of the goals while Bashar Bani Yaseen fought on for Jordan, bringing them back one. Unfortunately for them, they couldn't catch Uzbekistan who finished the game with a one goal cushion.
