AFC Asian Cup update.

Qatar defeated Kuwait quite handily in their match yesterday, putting in three goals without reply to rout the Gulf Champions and qualify for the next round. The Uzbeks drew 2-2 with the Chinese which allowed Qatar to finish second in Group A, behind Uzbekistan who obviously also qualify. Saudi Arabia are faced with the fact that they have been ousted from the competition, but should still give Japan a run for their money. Iraq's photo-finish victory over the UAE was something for any team to be proud of, despite the fact that it came from an own-goal. Iran on the other hand have already made the Quarter-finals, winning 1-0 over North Korea to qualify. Korea DPR are also facing elimination from the tournament.
