The return of some domestic leagues! Coming soon.

First of all, we have the Scottish Premier League which is coming back to us this Saturday when last year's champions Rangers take on Hearts of Midlothian. Celtic, who finished a point behind their rivals last year, will open their campaign against Hibernian on Sunday. Moldova's domestic league is also starting back up with the top three title contenders all starting on what should be light notes with FC Dacia Chisinau facing FC Nistru Otaci; FC Sheriff looking to get things off on the right foot against FC CSCA-Rapid Ghidighici; and 8-time champions Zimbru eager to kick-off their own title campaign. Meanwhile, Croatia's national league also began anew this past Tuesday, when HNK Hajduk Split defeated HNK Sibenik 2-1. This weekend, the defending champions Dinamo Zagreb hope to open their account positively against Inter Zapresic as they will be competing internationally, for the league, and the cup. Also in Eastern Europe, we have the Russian league opening with the reigning champions Zenit St. Petersburg facing off against heavy-spending Anzhi Makhachkala this Sunday. It'll probably be a tough match for both sides as they each are missing a couple of players. Last but not least, Romania's domestic championship is also set to kick off with the champions Otelul Galati facing an away match against newly-promoted-but-not-to-be-laughed-at Petrolul Ploiesti. Otelul Galati started things off in the right direction in their Super Cup triumph last weekend, best of luck to all of the sides and here's hoping to a wonderful year of football!
