Did you see the way she shot that? Women's Champions League 4/10/2011.

It was a back and forth battle in Germany today as FCR 2001 Duisburg were pressed to maintain themselves against an impressive FFC Turbine Potsdam. The good news was, they managed to tie! The bad news was, they tied! There were a ton of opportunities, especially for the home side, throughout the game, however, Isabel Kerschowski's gave Potsdam the lead in the 16th minute. It was short lived. Inka Grings took up a through ball and equalized for the home side in the 32nd. Not three minutes later, Yuki Nagasato had then given Potsdam the lead again, this time 2-1. Once more, however, Potsdam was halted. Once again, Alexandra Popp was the incisive passer, this time going to Jennifer Oster who all too willingly buried the strike to make it 2-2 in the 42nd minute. The second half on the other hand was not nearly as action-packed: not one more goal was scored! There were chances, including a lightning bolt from Fatmire Bajramaj, but nothing went in. The second leg is thus posed to be a huge event! Meanwhile, over in France, Lotta Schelin had a fantastic game for Olympique Lyonnais, scoring both of their goals in the first 11 minutes as they took a possibly decisive lead to their opponents in England: Arsenal LFC. Lyon had all but three of the good opportunities which the British side didn't seem to show up for. Best of luck to all sides!
