Women's Champions League. 3/23/11.

The two big rivals of the women's game in Germany, FCR 2001 Duisburg and 1. FC Turbine Potsdam, face off in the semi-finals with Olympique Lyonnais v.s. Arsenal LFC the other tie. The two German sides met last year with the current Bundesliga Champions (1. FC Turbine Potsdam) winning on penalty kicks. Potsdam come into the match on a great high as they destroyed Juvisy Essonne 6-2 for an aggregate victory of 9-2! Duisburg didn't perform too badly either though, winning both of their legs against England's Everton 2-1 and 3-1 respectively. Lyon managed well against Zvezda-2005, only edging by them 1-0, but a win is a win. Finally, Arsenal defeated the last of the Swedish opposition in the competition as they tied both games against Linköpings FC 1-1 and 2-2 respectively. The history between Arsenal and Lyon goes back a bit: with the French beating Arsenal (the reigning Champions then,) in the Quarter-finals of the 2007/08 competition. All in all, this is set to be a fantastic match set-up and should be great to watch.
