Europa League 2/23/2011.

Well Sevilla beat Porto in Portugal but it wasn't enough to get them through to the next round. From the first leg Porto had a 2-1 lead before the match even started. So, Sevilla needed at least two goals to get through to the next round due to the away goals rule. They finished with only one. Luis Fabiano's strike in the 71st minute gave the Spanish some hope but Porto refused to concede the second. Porto were even left a man down when Alvaro Pereira got a straight red in the 72nd but Sevilla couldn't take advantage of it and instead had Alexis sent off in the 77th after a second yellow. On the bright side for Sevilla, Luis Fabiano's strike against his old club was a sweet one, but not as sweet as Porto's overall victory. I'll post later about the Champions League matches between Inter Milan and Bayern as well as Marseille's hosting of Manchester United.
