Women's Champions League Final

France's Olympique Lyon and Germany's Frankfurt faced-off in the Women's Champion's Leagues Final in Munich in front of 50,212 adoring fans. The first goal came in the 15th minute with Eugenie Le Sommer putting the ball away past Frankfurt's Desiree Schumann. While the reason for the penalty was questionable, the goal itself was accomplished masterfully. 1-0 for Lyon. Just 13 minutes later we had the second goal from Camille Abily who collected a cleared ball and lobbed it expertly into the back of the net for a second goal for the French side. The first half finished rather uneventfully while the second saw no more action either as the game ended with the ladies of Lyon in perfect control: with total attempts roughly 21 to 10, the Germans were completely outplayed after the first 15 minutes. Congratulations to both teams for making it a Final to remember!
