Very very short post.

Well in this pot I write about just two matches: one from England and one from Sweden. In the former, Liverpool faced Chelsea and stomped them into the ground with a final score of 4-1. Meanwhile in the latter AIK posted a 1-1 draw with Djurgarden in a much closer match. Beginning with the Liverpool-Chelsea match, Michael Essien accidentally scored an own goal in the 19th minute to give Liverpool a 1-0 lead. Jordan Henderson made it 2-0 for Liverpool in the 25th while Daniel Agger made it 3-0 just 3 minutes later. A potential cause for such a score line before the 30 minute marker may have been the fact that Chelsea were running out Ross Turnbull, a substitute goalie. However, the fact that this kind of result would plant them in 6th makes it interesting to see how motivated Chelsea will be in the Champions League Final. But that wasn't all today! Ramires made it 3-1 in the 50th minute for Chelsea before Jonjo Shelvey wrapped things up with his 61st minute goal. On to Sweden now where AIK and Djurgarden squared off with the away side actually making all the goals. Following a dull 1st half, Petter Gustafsson's 58th minute strike was wonderful for the visiting Djurgarden side. However, Marc Pedersen struck an own goal in the 89th minute to salvage AIK's hopes for opening the season well. Have a good week!
