Gold Cup update.

Well as I already posted, the U.S.A., Mexico, and Honduras were through to the Semi-finals while we awaited for the verdict on the Panama-El Salvador game. Well the result is in and despite a penalty in the 78th minute which was successfully converted by Rodolfo Zelaya for El Salvador, the Panamanians somehow found their way into the next round. It was in the 90th minute when Luis Tejada performed a miracle and struck home to equalize the two sides and send the game into overtime. Through the two periods there were no more goals, but in penalties, Panama prevailed. They won 5-3 and will thus be facing the U.S. in one of two semi-final match-ups. The last time the two sides met in the competition, the U.S. men edged the Panamanians on penalties in the Final. We'll see what happens this time around on the 22nd! Best of luck to all of the teams!
