Quick update.

In the English Premier League, Liverpool are full of excitement following the trade-off of new ownership following the insane court battles that have taken place. However, their hype was cut short as Everton registered a 2-0 victory over the Liverpool team. Meanwhile, in the Italian League Lazio have recaptured the top spot with a 2-0 win over Bari. Other results are Juventus's destruction of Lecce 4-0 and Inter Milan's 1-0 win over Cagliari gave them a momentary lead in the league. Now into the French League, we find Rennes still at the top of the league, despite a scoreless draw. St. Etienne lost 2-1 to Nice, losing the chance to overtake Rennes after an early lead. On the other side, Lyon continue to regain form as they defeated Lille handily, 3-1. Finally, in Spain, Espanyol overtook the low-flying Sevilla as they beat Real Mallorca 1-0 while Sevilla lost to Sporting Gijon.
