U-20 World Cup Colombia Final update.

It was an intense, fantastic tournament with a lot of great players able to showcase their abilities. The Final and 3rd Place games have come and gone though and so we are left with a Champion. In the Final between Brazil and Portugal, things were level right up until the end of it all. Oscar gave the Brazilians the lead in the 5th minute which was quickly undone by Portugal's Alex 4 minutes later. Nelson Oliveira then gave the Portuguese the lead in the 59th. Brazil were a little paralyzed by this it seemed, and the Portuguese held their ground until the 78th when Oscar scored yet again! So, with things equal at the end of regulation, extra time loomed! Amazingly, it was Brazil's ace Oscar who completed his hat-trick and sealed Brazil's name on the U-20 title for a 5th time. Meanwhile, in Mexico v.s. France the Central Americans did well to rally after going down early to the Europeans. Alexandre Lacazette gave the French the lead in the 8th before Ulises Davila equalized for the Mexicans in the 12th. The 1st half then wound down before Jorge Enriquez and Edson Rivera slotted home once each in the 2nd half to really blow France out of the game. Thanks to all of the participants for a great tournament and I look forward to watching these great players continue their careers!
